The Quality Academy General Director and Senior Consultant, Professor, Doctor of Technical Science. At the National Technical University of Ukraine (NTUU "KPI") he is the Head of the Welding department, member of the Science Council and Expert of Science Projects. He is a Vice-president of the Ukrainian Society for Quality, Head of the Methodological Commission of TK-78 at the DSTU (The State Committee of Ukraine for Standardisation, Metrology and Certification) . Professor Fomichov is a vice-chief of the board of the Ukrainian Welder's Certification Committee and an active member of the New York Academy of Science (New York, USA). His work were awarded by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education as the best Scientific Elaborations and by the National State Exhibition for Development. He has given lectures at NTUU "KPI" (Kiev, Ukraine), the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden), Las Villas Central University (Santa Clara, Cuba), DSTU Training and Research Centre and at the International University of Finances (Kiev, Ukraine). He has published over 77 Scientific Works in the field of Technical Diagnostic and Quality Control, Quality Management, Welding Technology, Material Sciences, Corrosion Resistance of Materials as well as 1 Handbook, 3 Textbooks and 17 Patents. His biography was published in the "Who's Who in the World" - 16th and 17th Editions of Marguis Encyclopaedia and in the "Who's Who in Technical Science " 5th Edition of Marguis Encyclopaedia.
